This 27 August has marked the 50th anniversary of the day when Le Corbusier sailed towards the horizon for the last time. As it is known, it happened at Cote d’Azur, at the foot of the picturesque historic community of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. Nestled in lush greenery, on the rocks between the sea and the local train line that links Nice and Ventimiglia, lies Le petit cabanon or just Le cabanon – his summer beach hut of many years, a place where he indulged in creative meditation and swimming, which he was so enthusiastic about, and was practicing it all his life.
